Why am I seeing ads?

We would love to provide everyone with an ad-free experience, but we have significant overhead and need ad revenue to cover at least a portion of our expenses. The ads enable us to continue providing unlimited puzzles to our users without charge. In addition the ads also allow us to provide the KenKen Classroom Program - totally free of charge - to over 30,000 teachers and 1 million students nationwide, in an effort to support STEM education. Without ad revenue, we would no longer have the resources to provide this "pro bono" weekly program.

Are you having trouble with ads on the website?

Ads should NEVER interfere or distract you from solving puzzles. Unfortunately, a small number of rogue advertisers periodically try to inject annoying or inappropriate ads ("maladvertising") into legitimate online networks and webpages such as KenKen.com. They look for ways to bypass top line security and ruin clean websites. We have set, and continue to set, stringent blocks on any ad type and any known advertiser that is likely to deliver ads with objectionable content or viruses. If we ever receive reports from customers like you who are having problems, you can rest assured that we move within minutes to identify and block any rogue ads. Unfortunately these types of attacks affect websites large and small, and we continually monitor our site to screen them out.

*While we will continue to try to filter out any possible bothersome ad, you can take advantage of our SAVE feature. Click the Save button at the bottom of your puzzle and your puzzle will be archived to be revisited again at a later time. If you are a guest user you can only save 1 puzzle at a time, But subscribing Premium members can save up to 20 at the same time. Once a puzzle is saved to your account, it can be recovered by clicking on the RESUME SAVED PUZZLE button that appears on the puzzle menu.
